Description: Adults play an important role in the development of self-regulation through adult-child co-regulation interactions. In this session, early childhood practitioners will be introduced to the topic of co-regulation and its important contribution to the development of self-regulation in young children. Practitioners will be exposed to practical, evidence-based and culturally relevant Pyramid Model strategies that may be utilized by practitioners in their daily interactions with young children. Practitioners will leave this session with a better appreciation for their role in the development of young children’s self-regulation skills.
