Requirements - First Issuance
Six renewal credits, five years teaching experience, mandatory reporter training (child) and completed a master’s degree.
In most cases the holder of a Standard Teaching License will convert to the Master Educator License at the next renewal after meeting the requirements.

Authority
Full teaching instruction within grade levels and endorsements listed on the license. Also holds substitute authority including long-term subbing.
Renewals
4 renewal credits (or 2 renewal credits if the applicant holds a doctor's or specialist's degree) and the mandatory reporter training for child abuse.
OR
Verification of a Master's degree or higher, at least 10 years of PK-12 licensed experience, and the mandatory reporter training for child abuse. Substitute experience may count as years of experience if an individual is able to verify at least 91 days of substitute experience per year of experience.
