During the course of the school year, there are different reports that Accredited Nonpublic Schools will have to complete. The reports are securely submitted through applications within the EdPortal.

Important Dates

  • Oct. 1, 2025 - Count Date for Certified Enrollment; SRI production site opens for those schools participating in Student Reporting in Iowa (SRI); Nonpublic Student Data collection opens in Connect for those schools not participating in SRI
  • Oct. 15, 2025 - Certified Enrollment deadline (IAC 257.6.1a(7c) (public and nonpublic); Nonpublic Student Data collection deadline
  • Dec. 2, 2025 - Winter SRI production site opens
  • Jan. 1, 2026 - Winter Nonpublic Student Data collection opens
  • Jan. 29, 2026 - Winter SRI and Nonpublic Student Data collection deadline
  • Apr. 1, 2026 - Spring SRI production site opens
  • May 1, 2026 - Spring Nonpublic Student Data collection opens
  • June 24, 2026 - Spring SRI and Nonpublic Student Data collection deadline

Nonpublic Student Data Submissions

In order to streamline the reports for accredited nonpublic schools, all students who are enrolled need to be reported accurately reflect enrollment counts including those participating in the Education Savings Account program. Submissions are to be reported to the Iowa Department of Education three times throughout the school year. 

The Student file will be submitted through a secure student data application within our data collection system, Connect.

Certified Enrollment/NP

The Certified Enrollment/NP application collects aggregate enrollment information (grades KG-12) by Iowa public school resident district as of October 1. Past reports are posted on the Certified Enrollment Nonpublic Schools webpage.
