Requirements
- Master’s degree in a BoEE endorsement area.
- Position offer, and after a diligent search, the district shows that no properly endorsed applicants were available.
- Mandatory reporter training for child abuse.

Authority
- Limited to the endorsement listed on the authorization.
- Not eligible for conditional licensure.
- Not eligible to add any other endorsement areas.
Extension
Yes - if more time is needed to complete coursework requirements.
Conversion
Apply for a Content Specialist Authorization upon completion of the required coursework.
Renewal
To renew a Content Specialist Authorization, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Renewal Credits: Complete 6 renewal credits and the for child abuse.
- Experience: Verify a master’s degree or higher, at least 10 years of PK–12 licensed experience, and completion of the for child abuse. Substitute experience may count toward the 10 years if the individual can verify at least 91 days of substitute experience per year of experience.
