Requirements - First Issuance
Completion of a full teacher preparation program and participation in a teacher exchange program administered through the Iowa Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Education, or the U.S. Department of State. Contact your program sponsor or Bureau of Educational Examiners to apply.

Full teaching instruction within grade levels and endorsements listed on the license. Not eligible for conditional licensure.
Renewals
Renewable with verification of continued participation in the exchange program.
Other Information
Applicants will need to meet the out-of-state application requirements if they wish to remain licensed in Iowa upon completion of the international exchange program.
