HF 2754 Education Training and Renewal Review Task Force

HF 2754 established the Education Training and Renewal Review Task Force to help the Department review all required trainings and renewal requirements for educators.

The review will focus on the following actions:

  1. Review of all training teachers are required to complete pursuant to state law.
  2. Review of renewal requirements for teaching licensure.

The committee will review all requirements and provide recommendations to the State Legislature any modifications to Iowa Law to create a more manageable schedule for trainings and renewal requirements.

The report shall be finalized and submitted to the legislature by Dec. 31, 2026.
