HF 2545 Comprehensive Review Task Force

The HF 2545 Comprehensive Review Task Force, established by HF 2545 and signed into law on May 15, 2024, was formed to assist the Department in completing a comprehensive review of Iowa educational standards and graduation requirements, including core content standards, instructional practices and a statewide literacy plan.

The review will focus on the following topics with a committee assigned for each of the three topics:

  • Standards and Instructional Practices
  • Graduation Requirements
  • Statewide Literacy Plan

Reports

  • An interim report, including initial findings and recommendations for policy changes, is due to the governor and general assembly on or before Dec. 31, 2024.
  • A final report, including findings and recommendations following public comment, is due to the governor and general assembly on or before July 1, 2025.
