- Before you begin, you will need documentation confirming one of the following requirements are met:
- Renewal Credits:
- 6 renewal credits
- Current mandatory reporter training for child abuse.
- Experience:
- Verification of a master's degree or higher and at least 10 years of PK-12 licensed experience.
- Current mandatory reporter training for child abuse.
- Go to the Apply, Renew or Convert an Educator License webpage.
- Have your folder number ready.
- Use the License Search if you are unsure of your folder number or unsure if you have one.
- Log in to the online application system.
- Once logged in, select New Application or Renew.
- Confirm your profile information and select Next.
- Select Renew Existing License.
- Select license: Content Specialist Authorization
- Select application type:
- Renew Authorization (requires renewal credits)
OR - Renew License or Authorization - Advanced Degree and 10 Years Experience (must have a master's degree or higher and 10 years K-12 experience).
- The system will have you:
- Agree to creating an application, read through the instructions and scroll to the red X’s.
- Complete a checklist.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the fees/Submit application.
