ACHIEVE Family Portal

Home to Early ACCESS and special education records for every learner in Iowa.

Eligible parents or guardians of a child with an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) can access the ACHIEVE Family Portal, which provides 24/7 access to early intervention (birth-3) or special education (3-21) information. The ACHIEVE Family Portal is an optional, online tool that supports engagement in the IFSP/IEP process. Watch the overview video to learn more! 

Benefits

With an ACHIEVE Family Portal account, you can:

• Access information to support your learner’s development and learning electronically
• Review the information you need to participate in IFSP/IEP meetings
• Download and print your learner’s records anytime
• See accomplishments and real-time progress toward outcomes/goals
• Receive meeting notices and view a calendar of upcoming meetings
• View and sign consent forms
• Complete family engagement surveys

Create Your Account

Once you have provided consent to receive early intervention or special education services and provided your email address to your IFSP/IEP team, you will receive an email from no-reply-achieve@iowa.gov inviting you to create an account in the ACHIEVE Family Portal. Click the link in your email to start the registration process. You will need the last 4 digits of your learner’s State ID number to create your account. This information will be provided by your IFSP or IEP team. For help, see the Quick Start - Create Your Account.

If you don’t receive an email invitation or need to update your email address, contact your child’s IFSP service coordinator or IEP facilitator for assistance.

Families choose whether or not to create an account. You will still have access to records and information outside of the ACHIEVE Family Portal without an account. The portal does not replace person-to-person communication and collaboration with the IFSP or IEP team.

Technical Requirements

The ACHIEVE Family Portal operates within an internet browser and can be accessed using computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The optimal screen size for viewing is 1280 pixels wide, though the formatting will adjust to accommodate smaller screen sizes. ACHIEVE Family Portal is compatible with the three most recent versions of Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
