The Southwest Iowa STEM Region is a collaborative effort with Southwestern Community College–Red Oak Center. The Southwest Region is able to use the strengths from the institution to help expand STEM into the communities served in Southwest Iowa.

Casey Wenstrand, Southwest Iowa Regional STEM Manager
Casey Wenstrand earned a liberal arts degree from Iowa State University, and a master's degree in education curriculum and instruction from Northwest Missouri State University. During his career, he worked with youth through Iowa 4-H, at Northwest Missouri State University as a Career Services Specialist and at Upward Bound as Project Director and Academic Coordinator. Casey is passionate about helping youth achieve their best.
