Educators and administrators interested in learning more about ways to grow work-based learning programs to set students up for success in college and careers are invited to register for a new “Classrooms + Workplaces” webinar on Thursday, March 30, from 3-4 p.m.
Hosted by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council and Iowa Workforce Development, the webinar will also include high school internship information from Iowa Department of Education’s work-based learning consultant, Kristy Volesky, and information about the Iowa Work-Based Learning Clearinghouse from 21st Century Learning Specialist and Clearinghouse for Work-Based Learning Project Manager at AEA Learning Online, Laura Williams.
Expanding innovative work-based learning opportunities across Iowa benefits everyone. The webinar will cover a variety of topics, including:
- High school registered apprenticeships and quality pre-apprenticeships
- High school internships
- Summer Youth Internship Program
- STEM BEST (Business Engaging Students and Teachers)
